Vayikra

“Vayikra” ‘s root is kuf rash aleph which according to Strong’s means qârâ’
kaw-raw’
A primitive root (rather identical with H7122 through the idea of accosting a person met); to call out to (that is, properly address by name, but used in a wide variety of applications): – bewray [self], that are bidden, call (for, forth, self, upon), cry (unto), (be) famous, guest, invite, mention, (give) name, preach, (make) proclaim (-ation), pronounce, publish, read, renowned, say.
look in the BDB and it goes further to say (in part) :1a5) to summon, invite, call for, call and commission, appoint, call and endow

Which is currently out of print.

This Parasha is special to Brenda and I because 4 years ago, we went to a weekend meeting at Mayim-Hayim with special guest Rico Cortes and the rest is, as they say, history.

The Parasha was “Vayikra” and He did turn us around! He being both Yahuah and Rico.

It’s a very good teaching on the sacrifices and special emphasis on a “sweet savour” to Yahuah. There are many forms of sacrifice depending on the situation but the situation but they all have specific instructions to be a “sweet savour”.  Of course, we don’t do sacrifices today because there is no altar. ok  headed off to some teachings  … to be continued …
