14 Feb 2010 30 Shevat 5770

Praise the Father,  I am feeling much better today.  Had kind of a rough night but woke up at 9 feeling rested.  This up and down cycle needs to stop.

I’ve got a grandson that’s 13 earthly years old now.  And as math would have it, I have spent 60 years breathing God’s air.  In Hebrew we’re older. They count from conception. I guess over the centuries that little tradition was considered too personal or unable to confirm or whatever to use.

I can’t help but think that that little twisting of the tradition has cost millions of lives since Roe v Wade.

Anyway, our lives go on. And as Shaul (Paul) said, “we must continue to fight the fight”.

This is the beginning of the work week for me.  I have to get this afternoon’s Hebrew lesson ready. If you are in Amarillo, drop by at 3 p.m. at Mayim Hayim ( 1412 W 8th.  Take Washington to 9th street and turn left and go 2 or 3 blocks and it’s on the right.  Or take Georgia to 9th and turn right and it’s 2 or 3 blocks after the overpass on the left.

You don’t have to be an attendee of the congregation to attend this class. It’s open to all who are curious about the Hebrew language.
